• analyse the impact methamphetamine has on the youth in New Zealand
• research a range of health practices used in New Zealand to treat particular health conditions
• examine models used world-wide to promote people living healthy lifestyles and caring for others in their communities
• explore contemporary ethical dilemmas that influence health and well-being
Recommended Prior LearningStudents must have gained a minimum of 15 credits in level 2 Health Studies or 12 credits in level 2 English including one externally assessed standard or at the discretion of the Head of Department.
Total Credits Available: 19 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 5 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 14 credits.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
