Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr F. Woodward

You will learn to:
• recognise and understand modernist architecture and design from 1900-1960, including Art Nouveau, Art Deco, the Bauhaus, Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe
• think critically and analytically about art and design elements and principles
• understand how architects and designers develop their ideas and designs
• survey other periods of art including the Renaissance and 19th century French art

The stationery requirements include a workbook, cost $15

Recommended Prior Learning

As this is a language based subject, it is important to have the ability and willingness to express ideas in writing.
