Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr D. Jardine
You will learn to:
• participate in chosen skill to apply functional anatomy and bio-mechanics principles to your performance
• participate in tough guy and diving to meet performance standards for level 3
• apply leadership and safety management strategies through outdoor survival skills in a bush setting, sailing and diving
• evaluate the effectiveness of performance through participation in the Auckland Tough Guy/Gal competition
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
For trips and activities outside of school.
Tramp, Tough Guy, Sailing, Diving - Approximately $450
Poor Knights (Optional trip) - Approximately $400
Recommended Prior Learning
Students must have achieved a minimum of 16 achievement standard credits in level 2 Physical Education and Outdoor Education or all achievement standards in Sports Leadership at merit level. Physical Education uniform is compulsory. Entry to this course is at the discretion of the Head of Faculty.Credit Information
