Course Description
You will learn to:
- Develop an argument about the ‘power of art to change the world’ in an essay
- Understand how meaning is conveyed in an artwork
- Recognize and understand modernist architecture and design from 1900-1960, including Art Nouveau, Art Deco, the Bauhaus, Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe
- Think critically and analytically about art and design elements and principles
