Level 2 Drama
Course Description
Teacher in Charge:
You will learn to:
- research the purposes of production, performance and technologies of drama in a range of contexts, including New Zealand drama
- explore how drama reflects our cultural diversity
- select and refine the use of techniques, conventions and technologies in specific drama forms
- research, critically evaluate and refine ideas to develop drama in specific dramatic forms
- research and perform works in a range of dramatic forms
- respond to and make critical judgement about rehearsal processes and performance
In Year 12 Drama, we are offering 17 UE Credits from 13 internally assess credits, and 4 externally assessed credits. In addition to this, there are 10 optional enrichment credits available (5 unit standards), however these enrichment standards are not all up for grabs. They are there for the students who wish to forgo some performance standards and instead focus on the backstage work.
*N.B Drama is largely a group based subject. Your group's success is dependent on your attendance and commitment to the class.

Completion of level 1 drama is recommended.
