Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr D. Jardine

You will learn to:
• participate in rock climbing to apply functional anatomy and bio-mechanics principles to your performance
• participate in indoor rock climbing and scuba diving to meet performance standards for level 2
• apply leadership and risk management strategies through your performance in tramping and scuba diving
• demonstrate social responsibility through participating in white water rafting, tramping and scuba diving

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Approximately $470 for trips and activities outside of school.


Recommended Prior Learning Students must have achieved a minimum of 16 achievement standard credits in Level 1 Physical Education: Outdoor Education or Physical Education or all achievement standards in Sports Leadership at merit level. Physical Education uniform is compulsory. Entry to this course is at the discretion of the Head of Faculty.
